Digital Photography And Imaging - Week 6
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGING - Week 6
October, 2025
Lectures:
This week, Mr. Fauzi introduced the basics of poster design. He explained that a good poster should be clear, balanced, and attractive so it can quickly deliver a message and catch the viewer’s attention. He also talked about the main principles of design — such as emphasis, balance, contrast, repetition, proportion, movement, and white space. These principles help create a design that looks neat, organized, and visually interesting.Design rules are not fixed; sometimes breaking them can make the work more creative and unique. He showed several poster examples to help us understand how to apply these principles in real projects.
Tutorial:
Mr. Fauzi showed us two videos about basic photography and how to build a small DIY studio at home using simple tools such as a desk lamp, white paper, and a backdrop.I learned that lighting is the most important part of photography, and that good composition can make even simple photos look professional.

Practical:
This week’s practical session focused on continuing Project 2.We were asked to apply what we learned from the photography basics to our own work. The task required us to update our E-Portfolio and create at least three Photoshop sketch ideas for object compositing. These sketches were meant to explore creative ways of combining different elements before starting the final image composition.Mood board:
